I was very close to cancelling this shoot on Sunday due to lack of sleep the night before. So much has happened between then and now. This is not my first time winning an award either. Normally I’ve won two  per  event. This was the first time I walked away with just one. It seems Harmony were the company that cleaned up that night with three awards and deservedly so because everyone knows they are a top notch company with top notch girls and top notch in every other way too and to pip in ahead of their Toy Stories is an achievement in itself. I honestly didnt think I would win against such stiff competition from other well produced material from Play boy and Television X and above all the, thing I can say with pride compared to other events is that their was no skullduggery going on behind the scenes to try and win an award either.

Over the years I’ve heard rumours of bribery and coercion going on with regards the voting being looked over for awards being paid outright to win which is shocking behaviour in itself because although that company (who shall remain nameless) went this route, the fact they walked off with those awards meant nothing in the eyes of the people it was supposed to impress and hence that company has been frowned upon and hurrumphed to cater to its egotistical owner who was satisfied in his mind that he had won but actually bought his own awards.

I can say at least that I have never done such things. In fact, when the awards launched last year I could’nt make it for filming

Michelle Thornes wedding and I didnt submit anything for consideration because I felt, had I won, it would have looked like all my buddies had voted for me. I say this because the producers association came in for a lot of criticism for being what it was. This year I was advised to submit something to be considered for nomination because if i didnt, it would look like I was snubbing the event. A case of damned if I do and damned if i dont, hence the lengthy explanation.

I was invited to sponsor an award and thought it was relevant to me to do so with the Best Gonzo/ Reality category since that’s what I’ve been about since I’ve started over 12 years ago and to present this I asked Michelle Thorne who I found out a couple days before that she was attending the  event. Its no coincidence that I asked her either. She has appeared several times on the site over the years and here she was today, It would be daft not to. Besides, I was asked to co present with Dave Gray and thought Michelle was far more attractive  and added more gloss to the proceedings than me presenting it would

The winner for the Best Gonzo Reality award went to Laras Anal Adventures. Lara  has also appeared on Real Couples with her partner Jim Slip and I can proudly say that after all these years that they are still together and not victims of what the industry  call “The Curse Of Real Couples” This is a dig akin to that OK/ Hello magazine thing where couples featured in the mag always break up after featuring in it.

The awards itself was a small affair which was a fun add on to our network party where producers and models meet up, take details and get to work together which is a more sociable way of getting work for models as well as meeting other people in the business. I got to meet  at least half a dozen new couples so this is a perfect and worthwhile event for me anyway

Despite the technical mishaps it was quite chaotic but in that it was a helluvva load of fun still and a UKAP party just wouldnt be the same if it didnt upset the owners of the establishment with the usual porn star shenanigans of models posing for pics with their tits and bits out and girls munching on each others fannies. I had to go around and tell my missus and Michelle Thorne to behave themselves but what can you do?  This is why UKAP parties are strictly industry affairs only because the models never felt comfortable  getting fondled by strange members of the public who were blurred between the lines of fantasy and reality by thinking the girls are up for an anal spit roast between them and their mates because, by doing porn, they must be “bang up for it”. Thankfully this attitude is in the minority but its the minority factor that spoils it for the real fans and one of the areas we have been criticised for over the years.

Believe me, UKAP would love to make these things public because it makes commercial sense to do so.

UKAP has been in existence now since 2005 and the parties have been going  since 2009 and while it was my idea it was really Dave Gray and his lovely wife Tracy Lain (soon to be seen on Real Couples) that have worked hard at making this event what it has become today and it is with this I must give respect and a massive shout out of thanks to Dave and Tracy for making it happen and special thanks go out to Your Choice for sponsoring the award that I won and everybody who turned up to this sell out event and made it a fun and enjoyable evening

Inbetween the first video and this update they sold me a home made video which was so short I had to put the two together. What that video told me about them as a couple or about that particular scene was that Laurita is so attractive, Sebastien can’t hold onto his load for too long. This is not a bad thing and if anything is a testament to Lauritas beauty.

Ok, so she allegedly tried to murder her husband which was  documented  in the media in recent years but she was eventually cleared of this. This may seem a bit extreme but you have the rare opportunity of knowing that then looking at how they appeared to be on a good day in  a scene like this.

Gemma is  a very attractive young woman. James, is not my cup of tea and for I’m sure he would appreciate. His wife was hot and that’s all that mattered. Yes, they were actually married on Valentines Day that year.

I first met them on a shoot for Liquid Gold when I worked with Johnny Rebel and got a phone call from them as I was driving on the motorway to Bristol asking what I wanted them to wear for the shoot. I thought a nice long black coat, sexy underwear and nice lacy suspenders.

John turned up to the hotel we booked to do the shoot before me so I got the call from him that when he arrived she opened the door to open her coat to reveal her sexy underwear underneath resplendent with lacy suspenders and a matching bra and nothing else! Damn my being late! John got this prize intro instead. I actually thought they were dressing up for the shoot. Not actually turning up like that but that was what Candice aka Gemma was like and that was a good thing. The kinky minx even did anal on that shoot too and she looked like butter wouldn’t melt in her mouth for how classy  she looked    So it was a complete surprise to me how she went from that to the complete bitch the press made her out to be but it seemed there was more to it than that than I can legally divulge here.

This shoot she did for Real Couples was  sexy  and it was my suggestion to do the foot fetish thing as it seemed no one really focussed on this area and to film them doing regular sex was a bit boring since that was all they did together  but I noticed not only was she beautiful with nice skin, features, piercing green eyes and long dark hair but she had very attractive legs and elegant looking feet that were pedicured to perfection. It seemed a waste to not show where others, including James had failed to show this aspect of her beauty. I’m not sure James was into the feet thing but he certainly didn’t mind so maybe he found something that day on the shoot that he overlooked for so long.

The dress she wore on the day was sexy as well. A conservative white knee length summer dress patterned with strawberries. Obviously after the court case it transpired there was more going on about these videos that made James look  bad but the real truth of it was, and to his defence, Candice was no push over either.

All this aside she was a very beautiful girl that graced our site with a hot scene and definitely worth remembering again. That’s for sure.

Our latest behind the scenes footage was actually one of the first I shot as a test to see if it worked. Its not easy being a one man show. Its from this that I devised the method I deploy now and that is one camera set on wide, another with the Contour HD as my POV cam.

I’ve resisted the idea of using another cameraman to do this because just by having another person there would alter the intimacy of just myself being there. I try to focus on the personality of the couple but when you have someone else on board then it feels like the show is about the personalities of those shooting. I know this because I’ve done it for many years working with my old partner in porn Johnny Rebel.

The good thing about this behind the scenes stuff is that you get to see what really goes on during the photoshoot. Conversation taking stills is a lot different from shooting the actual scene and  you get more personality  which sounds confusing really when you think they are already on the job, but thats the thing. Its behind the scenes of the actual video shoot. This is the warm up.

I used to hate shooting stills because I thought it robbed the main video of any spontaniety but I’ve learned over time to see it as a rehearsal for the main scene and find out what a couples weaknesses and strengths are with performing and where possible, make suggestions but the more observant among you will notice that sometimes the video does veer off course from the stills.

The result is always the same though. If the BTS (behind the scenes) proves anything, it looks easy shooting a porn video but its hard to make a good one which is why people skills is very esential. One can get so tied up in the technicality of making a video that you forget to deal with getting the best out of the people who are making the video. I like to think I get good results most of the time.

This video was unusual for me in that it was shot in a studio in East London, only because Holly and Loco booked it to shoot their own stuff  after we were done. I don’t like shooting in studios under studio lights because it takes away the reality aspect of what I am trying to achieve but in this case it was ok because it was part of that reality.
