Our latest behind the scenes footage was actually one of the first I shot as a test to see if it worked. Its not easy being a one man show. Its from this that I devised the method I deploy now and that is one camera set on wide, another with the Contour HD as my POV cam.

I’ve resisted the idea of using another cameraman to do this because just by having another person there would alter the intimacy of just myself being there. I try to focus on the personality of the couple but when you have someone else on board then it feels like the show is about the personalities of those shooting. I know this because I’ve done it for many years working with my old partner in porn Johnny Rebel.

The good thing about this behind the scenes stuff is that you get to see what really goes on during the photoshoot. Conversation taking stills is a lot different from shooting the actual scene and  you get more personality  which sounds confusing really when you think they are already on the job, but thats the thing. Its behind the scenes of the actual video shoot. This is the warm up.

I used to hate shooting stills because I thought it robbed the main video of any spontaniety but I’ve learned over time to see it as a rehearsal for the main scene and find out what a couples weaknesses and strengths are with performing and where possible, make suggestions but the more observant among you will notice that sometimes the video does veer off course from the stills.

The result is always the same though. If the BTS (behind the scenes) proves anything, it looks easy shooting a porn video but its hard to make a good one which is why people skills is very esential. One can get so tied up in the technicality of making a video that you forget to deal with getting the best out of the people who are making the video. I like to think I get good results most of the time.

This video was unusual for me in that it was shot in a studio in East London, only because Holly and Loco booked it to shoot their own stuff  after we were done. I don’t like shooting in studios under studio lights because it takes away the reality aspect of what I am trying to achieve but in this case it was ok because it was part of that reality.

Behind the scenes stuff: Keely & Declan doing pics

I’ve just put up a poll in the members area which non members can preview and vote on if you like the behind the scenes feature to stay.

The reason I would like to know if this feature is popular or not is to determine if I should continue with it. I thought of doing them because I actually like that stuff. It gives you a glimpse into the personalities of the people through casual banter and random moments and also gives more of an insight to the couples for some of the non believers out there who are not convinced that all the couples featured on this site are genuine

This behind the scenes clip sees me getting my kit ready for a photoshoot with the couple and its got things in it that people like myself in porn take for granted that onlookers might find interesting. For instance, the way they are casually laying on the bed chatting among themselves as I’m facing away getting my cameras ready, Declan is casually chatting away while stroking his  dick to get ready for doing pictures. Thats something that would be out of place in a social situation. Ok, well, not where I’m concerned I suppose

There really is a fine line between couples and porn stars and I think this behind the scenes feature captures that. In case you didn’t know already, doing pictures is a great way to get acquainted and warm people up before the scene. Sometimes it can kill it too but that’s not a bad thing because if the pictures can’t be done I shouldn’t expect the video will either. Game over. Pack up the kit and away home I go.

Tracy and Dave on a photoshoot

It might be a while before the scene that Tracy and Dave did appears on this site so while we are waiting we can get a bit familiar with them in this behind the scenes shot video of them during a photoshoot.

I personally like the behind the scenes stuff of most shoots I’ve seen. It gives you more of an insight to the personalities of the people and in a way, prepares you for what kind of scene they will do. Even if it it plain and normal, this supplemental stuff does add something to their scene and how we see them and our enjoyment of them…On the other hand it could go the opposite way too but thats not the case here.

Its not until I’m editing thesethings that I notice the odd things we talk about while Im tkaing pictures of a couple  in sexual congress. You can tell we are all involvedin the porn biz byu the easeofhowwe do things,like tlaking about something removedfromthe actual actof sex while doing it is something that has to be seen to be believed and probablywhy everyone  wanting to do it thinks its so easy.
