I was very close to cancelling this shoot on Sunday due to lack of sleep the night before. My son decided as soon as I went to bed to start crying loads and kept me up for ages and whats worse I was already awake 19 hours already after waking up 7:15 the previous morning. Sleep deprivation can be like torture and I was finding it hard to hold it together.

I was determined to do the shoot because I have never ever cancelled on a shoot yet, except for when my car was stolen last November. I was determined to do this shoot because it was scheduled for such a long time now and frankly, it wouldve been embarrassing to cancel with tiredness being the excuse.

As i turned out I couldnt have hoped for a better first time couple. They made it really easy for me because they had the hots big time for each other. I suggested they keep each other “warmed up” as I set my kit up and it is a lot of kit I assure you. Apart from my main camera that I use to do the shoot, I also use a 3 other cameras, one of which is a portable POV I strap to my head for that real POV on the photoshoots. Its not just a case of switching them on and you’re away so rather than take the sexiness out of the proceedings I just let them do their thing. In this case Scarlett was eagerly sucking his cock to get him in the mood. What a gal!

If there was one minor annoyance about me, it was probably me going off on one with the chatter. Probably because I was tired and if I stayed quiet I probably would’ve fallen asleep standing up. Not good. If they were annoyed I dont know for sure but I was aware of it later driving the car back which is why i always bring some Drum N Bass and play it loud to keep me on edge. That shit is like an adrenaline shot to the senses. I run the risk of speeding listening to that music.

I cant say what he does for a living but lets just say what he does means if he knows what he has signed up for he is committed all the way and together they turned out a sterling shoot.

Lynn and Mark have divorced since this was shot and what has happened to them could be made into a feature film. Lynn is now remarried and Mark is dealing with problems that I won’t go into out of respect for him. No one can see things coming like this which is what makes these scenes even more special to look back on.

I would like to think that this, if looked on by them now would be a reminder of happier times when they were living in London. They came here from South Africa for reasons unknown to me but one that is known is their determination to make a lot of money. Lynn made no secret of it that they were here for that and once they hit their target they were going back to South Africa to buy a ranch, raise kids and live happily ever after.

Well, that was the plan anyway.

The day they did this video Lynn even said she was happy to be doing it as she not only got to fuck her husband (for a change) but even stranger, get paid for it. This is why I never waste time bargaining and haggling with couples where money is concerned because I don’t pay couples to have sex. I pay for the privilege of filming them doing it.

Back then (circa 2004?) shoots consisted of stills, hard version and soft versions shot seperate. Basically the soft consisted of actual fucking but  shooting it so you dont see the hardcore details ie genital pentration and oral. Strangely enough a lot of people I know enjoyed the soft versions. Maybe seeing genitals squishing, squirting and squelching made them feel uncomfortable. Personally I prefer the squish, squirt and squelching but I did actually enjoy and understood the soft versions to be more erotic

They made their money and returned to South Africa and for a time I’m sure life was good but lets just say the excesses of making  money  has its consequences and just leave it at that. Last I heard there was a light at the end of the tunnel and things were getting better.

My most enduring memory though was turning up to do this shoot and finding they were watching a soft version Liquid Gold video and the look of surprise on Marks face that when I told him I had shot it. what a coincidence!

He did buy it expecting it to be the hard version but still enjoyed it. I had to explain the hard version wasn’t released yet as at that time soft versions were the only adult dvds allowed to be sold outside of licensed sex shops.

He said he enjoyed it anyway. See? The soft versions can still hit the spot!

Seems likes its been a long time since I last did a shoot .

I was up at 7 to get from North London where I live to Bury to shoot Jacki and Ollie in a hotel where we had an earlier check in time than usual. The reason for this is they had an event that had to attend by 4 so we had to be done by 3 the latest.

I’m always anxious on shoot days especially when working with someone new. In this case being Ollie and it was probably because I’ve known Jacki from 10 years ago when she was new to the business and went to america where she became  contracted to Vivid so it was a question of what do I say before tripping up and blowing the shoot if Ollie got mad about anything he may or may not have known but I couldnt have hoped for a better day.

Jacki was totally open with Ollie when they got together. She just forgot to tell me until today.

So in addition to getting a nice shoot with a really nice couple we got some interesting banter outside of the usual questions I ask because I was genuinely curious. I do tend to talk a lot on a shoot day. probably more than I should which is a dead giveaway (Ollie noticed) but that may be part of the reason why I get a good shoot more often than not.

Anyway I couldn’t have hoped for a better start to 2012.

Our latest update was shot in the summer of 2009. To give you an idea how fast time flies by. Krystal is no longer blonde and no longer with Stacey and is  probably no longer modelling because she is a married woman now which presented a dilemma with me because I also filmed her wedding on the proviso I can use elements of it in the documentary I have also featured her in.

Filming them on the day was fascinating because you can tell they were very familiar with each other but there wasn’t the traditional mooshy gooshy aspect of a loving relationship. It looked to me that Stacey was always agitating Krystal. I could be very wrong though but their interview gave so many things away if you like me like to read between the lines.

I actively encourage couples to be themselves in this way because there is no lying about them as a couple then. You know that old saying that “it takes all sorts to make a world?” That’s Krystal and Stacey that is.

There was a lot more that precipitated this days shoot as it wasnt smooth to begin with but I’m a documentary film maker of sorts and people might see Real Couples as a normal porn site but that’s not how I see it. This porn making gig has been prepping me for shooting reality based stuff all these years and while I can agree shooting porn is easy, just point and shoot, i can honestly say that shooting a good relaity porn film is not as easy as some would think. If you have great honest subjects to deal with then its a lot easier but for many, the moment the camera goes on theirs a quasi reality where they are aware of being filmed where it doesn’t seem real anymore.

When you see this scene play out you will agree that this is as real as they come and mores to the point, it shows that once people interface sexually, everything else seems to go out the window. The pleasure of sex seems to over ride all the bullshit that makes life and relationships everyday complicated.

Its not complicated at all really but we cant spend all day, every day balls deep in our loved ones can we? The thoughts nice but it isnt practical and  we do have to get on with the rigours of life and that is where relationships either break down or get stronger. Time told which it was for Krystal and Stacey…And for a time, it was good

I’ve shot 3 wedding videos inside 12 months with couples that have featured on Real Couples. Even though the video is listed as public (again by the couples decision) I haven’t embedded it here out of respect to their friends and family who attended the wedding on the day. I’m not sure they would be comfortable with the association of the couples private lifestyles which is essentially on a porn site hence why you have to see it on YouTube even if you heard about it on a blog and beyond that, we’d like to know who exactly is seeing the video because there are a lot of trolls and keyboard warriors out there that cant help but make nasty unnecessary comments

I’ve shot many other wedding videos for friends and family over the years who have been more than pleased with my work. Wedding videos I’ve heard are probably the most boring things ever BUT they don’t have to be. The more exciting the wedding the more chance it will be fun to watch but I can only capture what happens on the day and thankfully Ive never filmed a dramatic family argument, punch up or a shoot out yet but there’s still time I’m sure. You may recollect that Ben Dover and myself shot a jewish wedding which in principal is no different to many other weddings except you are not allowed within the area where the ceremony takes place between the couple. I even had to wear one of those little hats too

I can’t think of a better way to kick start 2012 than with our latest update. Not just because Paige has a pretty face and a darling body but looking at her boobs with her nipples jutting out certainly sends a frisson of excitement to the nether regions. A while back I teased you with a behind the scenes of Paige and Paul doing the photoshoot which was experimental at the time because I wanted you the viewer to really experience it from my POV (point of view) what it was like on a shoot, rather than the over view we’ve all been accustomed to. I havent rceived any complaints yet which is reassuring.

What makes this scene even more exciting to watch is her enthusiasm. If she was a bloke she’d be drooling! fair play to Paul though, it goes to show that if you take pride in your body then you can expect something like the Lynx edffect you see in those ads. Paige is totally out of control and obsessed with his body and probably explains why she is still shagging him 2 years after they split up.

Ok so technically they are not a real couple no more but they used to be and that was what drew me to badgering Paige into doing this shoot.  I spend a fair bit of time with Paige shooting a documentary I’ve been working on since late 2008 and had I not tkaen this long to shoot it I wouldnt have got all the juicy stuff you will hopefully see sometime later in 2012. It wasnt palnned that i was going to be seing her naked and shagging anyone at all until I caught on she has a string of casual but regualr lovers.

Paul was one she was seeing in a relationship that lasted for a few months but when you see them getting it on in the scene you van tell they are very alike. Both are players but both really enjoy each other but dont want to be in restricted to exclusivity because they know they are going to hurt each other emotionally because they still enjoy shagging other people, or rather porn may have been an issue but Paul has said he actually enjoys what she does for a living. Probably because he isnt committed to her but who cares, this one is for the wank bank for him to enjoy at a later date.
